UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON WEBSITE FEATURES MIKE KELLY, BRANDON CRAMER

Feb. 13, 2008

After a championship season in which the Dayton Flyers won the Gridiron Classic and voted as FCS Mid-Major National Champions, the University of Dayton website profiled the stories of Flyer Football's Mike Kelly and Brandon Cramer. Check out these features with text and video.

Mike Kelly
As the University of Dayton football coach for 31 years and head coach for 27, Mike Kelly holds one of the best records in college football history. His career winning percentage is .819, the best of any active coach who has been in the profession a quarter century or more, and the fourth-best of all time in the same category.

He stepped down as head coach in January 2008, but will continue his long career at UD with expanded duties as associate director of athletics.

In this video feature on the university's website, Kelly discusses his story about the program, life outside of football and what UD means to him.

    Brandon Cramer
A 4.0 student and football star, senior Brandon Cramer is one of the most decorated student-athletes in UD history. A football team captain, Cramer has won almost as many awards as games this year, as the football season came to an end with a Gridiron Classic win and a record of 11-1.

A graduate of Anthony Wayne High School near Toledo, Cramer received the 2007 ESPN The Magazine University Division Academic All-America of the Year award, the first of UD's 46 All-Americans to be named Academic All-America of the Year in any sport. Now, Cramer takes on his newest challenge: medical school.
