As a freshman, Kacie Hausfeld competed in 22 sets over the course of 13 matches. She notched 3.23 assists per game placing her second on the team for the 2007 season. Against University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Hausfeld had 14 assists on 14 attempts, she also had two digs and 11 assists in a win over Radford. Hausfeld recorded a career-best when she had eight digs in a win over Jacksonville.

What is you first ever volleyball memory?
I played CYO volleyball in the 4th grade and started club volleyball soon after. Also, I have watched my sister play since I was around seven years old. In other words, I have grown up with volleyball.

Why did you decide to play volleyball at UD?
I love the school and the volleyball community. Dayton is an amazing school with a great volleyball program. The combination of the two made it a great fit for me.

Who is your role model? Why?
My older sister, Ali, and my parents. Each one is extremely motivated and has succeeded in many aspects of life. They live life to the fullest by working hard at whatever they do.

What is the best part of playing at the Frericks Center?
The amazing atmosphere and character of the gym

What is the best part of playing for UD?
The UD community and being friends with all of the UD athletes

Cereal or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich

What position do you play and why do you think it is better than the other positions on the court?
Setter, because you are involved in every play and get to run the offense, it's like being the quarterback on a football team and who doesn't want to be that!

What has been your most memorable moment at UD?
Hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament

What do you listen to when you are with your friends?
Beach Boys or Third Eye Blind

If your dorm was on fire, what three things would you save?
My pictures, my friends and food

What song do you sing the shower?
I really don't sing in the shower, but if I did it would be Journey's Don't Stop Believing

What is your favorite ice cream?
Strawberry Cheesecake or Peanut Butter
