Oklahoma State Post-Game Notes
•Today's game marked the first time OSU appeared in the NCAA Tournament since the 2004-05 season, when the team advanced to the Regional Semifinals.
•The all-time series between Tennessee and OSU is now 2-1 in OSU's favor. Tennessee had won the last meeting on Dec. 18, 2006 by a score of 79-77.
•James Anderson scored in double figures for the 13th straight game with his 10-point performance.
•The Big 12 Conference is now 61-52 versus the SEC all-time (6-4 in 2008-09).
•The Cowboys entered the game averaging 9.3 three-point makes per game, which was the fifth best mark in the NCAA. They finished the game 7-for-21 (33%).
•OSU moved to 38-21 in 23 all-time appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
•Byron Eaton jumped ahead of John Lucas for sixth on the Big 12 all-time assist list. The senior now has 535 career assists.
•Eaton also played his 135th game for OSU, which moves him one shy of Bryant Reeves (1991-1995) for the most games played in a Cowboy uniform. He is also two steals shy of a third-place tie with former Kansas player Aaron Miles (2001-05) for the most in Big 12 history.
•OSU led the Big 12 in regular season free-throw shooting at 74.3 percent and shot 10-of-13 from the charity stripe today (77%)
•The Cowboys are now 17-0 when having a better field goal percentage than their opponent.
•Marshall Moses recorded his seventh double-double of the season (16 points, 11 rebounds).
Tennessee Post Game Notes
•Tennessee is now 14-15 against the Big 12 Conference all time.
•Tennessee lost its NCAA First Round Tournament game at UD Arena in the NCAA tournament for the second straight appearance. UT lost in 2001 against then #9 seed Charlotte.
•Tennessee now has a 1-3 record at UD Arena.
•Tennessee has played in the 8/9 game six times and has an overall record of 3-3.
•Tennessee now has an overall record of 13-18 in the NCAA tournament.
•Tyler Smith will enter the Tennessee's NCAA Tournament record book tying the record of 10 free throws made in a game with C.J. Black and Ernie Grunfeld. He also is tied with that pair for highest free throw percentage at 100 percent.
•Tyler Smith's 20 point are tied for the 17th highest in Tennessee's NCAA Tournament history.
•Tennessee is now 5-4 in the NCAA TOURNAMENT under Bruce Pearl.
•Tennessee is 1-10 this season when trailing at half.
•Tennessee's defense gives up their second highest Opponent FG percentage for the game at 56.6. The highest was against the University of Kentucky at 59.6 % shooting on February 21, 2009 at Rupp Arena.
