CINCINNATI, Ohio - Sophomore Chris Lemon set a Gettler Stadium record on Saturday afternoon when the men's cross country team competed at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The trio of Chris Lemon, Matt Lemon and Mike Andersen swept the 5,000 meter event, as five Flyers set personal records at the meet.

Including the Lemon's and Andersen, two other runners set personal bests on Saturday.

In the 5,000 meter run, Chris ran a 14:22.62 to take first overall and set a Gettler Stadium track record. His brother, Matt, wasn't far behind with a time of 14:26.25, which placed him second overall. Andersen came across the line third with a personal best time of 14:44.36.

Redshirt freshman Greg Roeth, competing in his first meet as a Flyer, set a personal record as well. The rookie placed ninth overall with a time of 15:35.91. He was followed closely by sophomore Ryan Shirley, who also had a personal best time of 15:36.15 and finished tenth overall in the race.

The team will travel next to Lynchburg, Va. to compete at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational on April 4.
