OXFORD, Ohio - University of Dayton men's cross country started its outdoor track season Friday at the Blizzard Buster Invitational, hosted by Miami University.
Owen Pukys opened up his senior track season competing in the 1500m and 3000m. In the 1500m, Dayton's cross country school record holder finished second with a time of 3:57.77. In the 3000m, he came third, running 8:29.87, an outdoor PR and the second-fastest time in school history.
Joining Pukys in the 3000m was Logan Arnold, who made his outdoor track debut and finished fourth in 8:40.51, Jacob Herzog, who ran 9:00.83 to finish 13th in his first collegiate outdoor 3k, and Jameson Maynes, who ran a personal best of 9:15.80 to finish 18th overall.
