AVON, Ind. – Julie Pouliquen and Clara Ang each fired a 78 as the University of Dayton Flyers placed in second place at the 2010 Butler Spring Invitational.

In the modified one-day event, UD shot a 318 team score. The Flyers were just seven strokes away from first-place Butler.

Katie Dempsey continued her strong spring season carding an 81. Also shooting an 81 was Cari DeAngelis.

Megan Keating also enjoyed a solid round shooting an 83.

Dayton also won the combined team championship with the UD men’s team. After the Dayton men’s team fired a 293 in their round, the Flyers took the co-ed title with a 610 team score, four strokes better than Loyola.
