In this final edition,
Zach Weiss, of St. Louis, talks about the importance of coming in fit to preseason as a freshman.
"It can really set you apart from the rest of the freshmen if you work hard and come in fit. I wasn't the strongest, technically, when I came in, but I worked hard and got playing time as a rookie," Weiss said. "We've laid down a good base and the younger guys know what we want this team to accomplish."
Weiss was a four-year letter winner for the Flyers, seeing action in 64 games during his career. He finished with two goals (both game winners) and eight assists. He logged 4,104 minutes and 48 shots as a midfielder. He scored against UMass in Dayton's 1-0 win in the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship, sending the Flyers to the NCAA Tournament.
