AVCA Top-25

DAYTON, Ohio. – The University of Dayton volleyball team remained steady at No. 20 in the weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll released on Monday.

Dayton (5-1) went 2-1 at the Diet Coke Classic in Minneapolis, Minn., over the weekend, defeating current 18th-ranked Northern Iowa and Baylor, and losing to host then-No. 8 Minnesota. Sophomore Rachel Krabacher and senior Lindsay Fletemier were named to the Classic’s all-tournament team.

Dating back to last season, it is the sixth consecutive week that the Flyers have been ranked in the Top-25. Last week the Flyers moved up one spot in the rankings to No. 20 in the AVCA Poll, after beginning the season ranked 21st.

Dayton travels to the Ameritas Players Challenge in Lincoln, Neb., this weekend to face two top-10 teams – host No. 7 Nebraska on Thursday, No. 3 Illinois on Friday, and Western Michigan on Saturday.
