Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (PDF)
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The University of Dayton Division of Athletics placed 106 student-athletes on the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Fall of 2010 semester, as announced on Wednesday by conference officials.
To be listed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.5 GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale) during the specified semester. Freshmen are eligible to receive the award.
"The commitment from each of these student-athletes in pursuing excellence in the classroom and during competition is a great representation of their institution and the Atlantic 10 Conference," stated Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade.
The Flyers are fourth among the 14 Atlantic 10 Conference institutions in the number of student-athletes recognized. Dayton fields 14 of the Atlantic 10’s 21 sponsored sports.
Twenty-one members of UD's women's track team were on the list. The Flyer track team won the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track Championship last weeknd.
A total of 1,296 Atlantic 10 student-athletes were honored following the 2010 Fall semester.
