SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Freshman Will Chambers led the Dayton Flyers in round two with a 71 at the 2011 Cardinal Intercollegiate.
Dayton as a team shot a 297 in round two and finished the tournament tied for sixth.
UD’s top finisher was junior Matt Buse. Buse shot a 75 in round two and finished the tournament in a tie for 29th.
One stroke behind Buse overall was senior Michael Oberschmidt. Oberschmidt also carded a 75 in round two.
Senior Sean Keating fired a 76 in the second round, while sophomore Andrew Steffensmeier added an 81 to round out the scoring.
Up next for the Flyers is the Miromar Lake Collegiate. The tournament will take place from Oct. 2-3 in Fort Myers, Fla.
