CHERRY HILL, N.J. – On the second and final day of the 2012 Knecht Cup, the Dayton Flyers Varsity 8 competed in the Grand Finals and the Second Varsity 8 competed in the Petite Finals.
In their Second Varsity 8 Petite Finals, Dayton finished in second with a time of 6:55.52. The Flyers just missed beating Massachusetts, who came in first with a time of 6:53.84. Dayton beat out Wisconsin's Lwt, Atlantic 10 rival Temple,
Buffalo, and Trinity.
After finishing second in their semi final heat and beating West Virginia, Old Dominion, Holy Cross and Massachusetts to make it to the Grand Final Dayton’s Varsity 8 clocked in at 6:47.12 to take sixth in the Grand Final.

Up next for Dayton is a regatta against West Virginia University in Morgantown on Saturday, April 21.
