MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SOCCER RECEIVING VOTES IN LATEST NSCAA POLL

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's and women's soccer teams are receiving votes in the latest NSCAA / Continental Tire Division I Top 25 poll.

Women's soccer is tied for 36th in the nation, receiving 12 votes in the latest poll. Men's soccer is ranked 39th in the nation after receiving six votes.

The Flyer soccer teams combined for a 4-0 weekend. The women's soccer team beat then-No. 19 Boston University, 2-1, in double overtime and Northwestern 5-2 at Baujan Field this weekend. The men's team picked up a 3-2 win over Ohio State and a 4-3 win over Kentucky.

Last weekend was also one of the best weekends that the University of Dayton has had across the board in all of its sports. Men's and women's soccer and volleyball went 7-0 on the weekend with three wins over nationally-ranked programs. Five UD student-athletes received weekly honors from the Atlantic 10. Also, Dayton student-athletes received four national accolades from the weekend.

The men's soccer team will travel to the Nike / Aaron Olitsky Memorial Classic in Charleston, S.C. Dayton will face No. 22 Furman on Friday, Aug. 31 and College of Charleston on Sept. 2.

The women's soccer team hosts Central Michigan Friday at 7:30 p.m. on Baujan Field. They will also play DePaul at Baujan Sunday at 1 p.m.
