Final Results
PORT CLINTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's golf team completed play at the 2013 Toledo Rocket Classic with their best round of the tournament on Tuesday at Catawba Island Club, shooting a 319 to move up to 12th place in the tournament. Sophomore Mika Suntay shot a team-best 78 in the final round to finish tied for 30th with a 54-hole total of 239 on the par-72, 5,929-yard course.
Senior Grace Nikolai also shot a 78 on Tuesday, and moved up 10 spots to end up in a tie for 33rd at 240. Classmate Maggie Prokop's 81 on Tuesday gave her a total of 246 which was good enough for a tied for 49th. Junior Lucy Frey was tied for 69th with a three-round score of 255 after her 82 on Tuesday and senior Erin Peavy shot 84 to finish at 261, and in 76th place.
Freshman Jenna DiPaolo was one of 15 players competing as an individual at the event, and her final round of 82 gave her a score of 252, tying her for 63rd.
Every Flyer golfer turned in her tournament-best round on Tuesday.
UD's next action will be at the home Dayton Flyer golf, NCR Country Club. The Flyers will host the University of Dayton Fall Invitational on NCR's North Course on Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22.
