DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton senior
Sarah Senoyuit was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Women's Soccer Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The defender from Perkasie, Pa. carries a 3.97 GPA in psychology, and this marks her first Academic All-America honor.
The 2013 Atlantic 10 Defender of the Year is a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, including first team this season.
She is a two-time member of the A-10 All-Academic and Academic All-Ohio Teams. She was also a member of the 2010 A-10 All-Rookie Team.
Senoyuit led UD in minutes played and led the Flyers to a program-record six consecutive shutouts during the 2013 season. In her time at Dayton, the women's soccer program had a record of 66-16-5, the sixth best winning percentage in the nation for a senior class. The Flyers won three A-10 Championships and appeared in two NCAA Tournaments.
UD men's soccer player John Howe was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Men's Soccer Second Team. Howe and Senoyuit became the 99
th and 100
th University of Dayton student-athletes to be named Academic All-Americans.
