VOLLEYBALL FACES LA SALLE FOR SINGLE HOME MATCH OF WEEKEND

First Serve Set for 7 p.m. Friday at Frericks Center on Father/Daughter Night

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team will welcome La Salle to Frericks Center Friday night for its lone match of the weekend. First serve between the Flyers and Explorers is set for 7 p.m. on Father/Daughter Night. Admission is free.

ABOUT THE FLYERS
Dayton (11-12, 5-6 A-10) split a pair of Atlantic 10 matches last weekend, dropping a 3-1 decision at George Washington on Nov. 1 and winning at George Mason 3-0 on Nov. 2. The Flyers have won three out of their last five matches heading into this weekend's home contest against La Salle. As a team, Dayton leads the league and nation with 3.06 blocks per set. Senior Megan Campbell was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, averaging 1.86 blocks/set in the matches against George Washington and George Mason.

Campbell is the team's offensive leader, averaging 2.70 kills/set while hitting at a .315 clip (6th A-10). Sophomore Jenna Jendryk is the squad's floor general, setting 9.12 assists per set (6th A-10), and sophomore Janna Krafka is averaging 4.30 digs/set (2nd A-10) as the team's leading passer. At the net, four Flyers are averaging more than one block per set, including Campbell with 1.40 (1st A-10, 17th NCAA).

SCOUTING LA SALLE
La Salle (1-27, 0-10 A-10) has lost 27 consecutive matches entering today's contest with the Flyers. La Salle's only win this season came against Farleigh Dickenson on Aug. 31.

Kelly Perillo is the leader on offense with 2.63 kills/set. Michelle Healy and Rachel Melich lead the Explorers in assists/set with 3.98 and 3.78 respectively, while Erin Noga ranks fourth in the league with 3.79 digs/set.

Dayton has the following all-time record against:

RPI RANKINGS
Dayton heads into this weekend's match holding a RPI (Rating Percentage Index) ranking of 121 according to ncaa.com. La Salle comes in behind UD at 322 out of 332 Division I programs ranked in the RPI.

YOUR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE
Senior Megan Campbell and junior Isolde Hannan are moving up the Dayton career assisted blocks list as the top two blockers for the Flyers this season. Campbell currently ranks fifth all-time with 392 assisted blocks while Hannan comes in at number seven with 318 block assists. So far this season, Campbell has recorded a team-best 112 BAs while Hannan has 87. Campbell has now recorded her third consecutive season with 100 or more block assists.

CAMPBELL NEARING 1,000 KILLS
Senior middle blocker Megan Campbell is not only the team's leading blocker but also leads the team with 224 kills this season. For her career, Campbell has tallied 876 kills and is just 124 kills shy of becoming the 21st Flyer to reach the 1,000-kill mark.

WE WILL PROTECT THIS NET
As a team, the Flyers lead the Atlantic 10 Conference and rank first nationally averaging 3.06 blocks/set. Senior Megan Campbell leads four Flyers that average more than one block per set this season with 1.40 (1st A-10, 17th NCAA). Junior Isolde Hannan tallies 1.30 blocks/set (4th A-10, 35th NCAA) while sophomore Angel Agu records 1.16 stuffs per set (9th A-10). Sophomore Jenna Jendryk rounds out the group of four with 1.03 blocks per frame for UD.

BATTLING THE BEST
Five of Dayton's losses this season were against teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Flyers defeated Saint Mary's (Calif.), 3-2, when the Gaels were receiving votes in the national poll earlier this season.

DON'T HIT ON US
In the Flyers' five-set thriller over Saint Mary's (Calif.) on Sept. 14, the team set a new program record for blocks in a match with 22.5 total team blocks. Also a new school record was the 41 assisted blocks the Flyers' tallied in the 3-2 win over the Gaels. Sophomore Angel Agu recorded a career-high 10 blocks in the contest while senior Megan Campbell added nine. Sophomore Jenna Jendryk narrowly missed the elusive triple-double with her career-high 48 assists, 12 digs and nine blocks as well.


CAMPBELL ONCE AGAIN LEAGUE DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Senior Megan Campbell averaged a team-best 1.86 blocks/set, which would lead the nation if it was a season-long stat. She recorded eight blocks to go with nine kills, two digs and a service ace in a loss at George Washington on Nov. 1 in the Flyers' 3-1 loss. On Nov. 2, Campbell, a middle blocker, tallied five blocks to go with a team-high-tying 10 kills, three digs and two service aces in UD's straight-set sweep of George Mason. The Versailles, Ohio, native served up three aces in 30 attempts to two errors for a .933 serving percentage.
