DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team swept La Salle in straight sets, winning 3-0 (25-11, 25-7, 25-11) on Friday. Dayton hosted La Salle in its lone match of the weekend on Father/Daughter Night at Frericks Center. The Flyers improve to 12-12 overall and 6-6 in Atlantic 10 play. La Salle falls to 1-28 overall and 0-11 in the Atlantic 10.
After La Salle struck first in set one, Dayton went on a 6-0 run to regain the lead at 7-2. From that point on the Flyers did not look back taking the first set 25-11. Senior

Jill Loiars both had four kills, while Campbell added four service aces. Sophomore

Alaina Turner added four digs in the first frame for Dayton.
The Flyers came out strong in the second set and held the Explorers to seven points, taking the set 25-7. Campbell and senior Shayne Brown each had three kills apiece and Jendryk added eight assists. Sophomore Janna Krafka got under five digs in the set.
The Explorers took a 2-0 lead in the third set and the Flyers battled back to tie it at 2-2. The match was close from that point on with La Salle staying within three to four points throught the middle of the set. Dayton took the 21-11 lead and went on a 4-0 run to win the final set 25-11.
Campbell led UD with 10 kills and five service aces. Jendryk had 29 assists and Krafka added 12 digs.
La Salle was led by Jennifer Whelan with five kills and Kelly Perillo and Erin Noga each had seven digs apiece for the match.
The Flyers will next face George Mason at Frericks Center on November 15 at 7 p.m.
