The women's second varsity four team came in fourth place in heat No. 4 with a time of 8:16.75, which put them ahead of Alabama and just behind UConn.
In women's varsity eight action, the Flyers competed in heat No. 2 and finished fourth with a 7:04.34 mark. Dayton finished ahead of Lehigh and Scranton in the heat.
The second varsity eight team took third in their heat (No. 2) and finished with a time of 7:13.11. That put them in front of Holy Cross, Marist, and Fairfield.
The women's novice eight squad posted a time of 7:45.96 in heat No. 3 and took a fourth place finish ahead of Villanova and Penn State.
SEMIFINALS
Later in the day, the varsity four team took first place in the semis with a time of 7:47.66. That mark helped them defeat the likes of Villanova, UMass, Temple, and North Carolina.
The women's second varsity team finished the first semifinal heat in 7:03.25, good enough for third place and beating out Alabama, Wisconsin, and Temple.
The Flyers will finish up competition at the Knecht Cup on Sunday. Dayton will open up Sunday with the varsity four grand final at 9:30 a.m.
