CHICAGO - The University of Dayton women's golf team closed out play at Chicago State's Cougar Classic Tuesday, finishing the tournament in ninth place. Junior Lucy Frey fired a season-low round of 76 and her two-day total (81-76=157) paced the Flyers. Frey finished in a tied for 19th place overall.

Senior Grace Nikolai placed 26th overall with her 15-over-par tournament total of 79-80=159 and sophomore Mika Suntay was the team's third-best finisher at tied for 49th (80-85=165).

Senior Maggie Prokop tied for 54th place with a 36-hole total of 83-84=167 (+23) and senior Erin Peavy rounded out the team scoring with her 86-87=173, tied for 67th place.

Freshman Jenna DiPaolo competed as an individual, also finishing in 54th place in her first collegiate outing. She fired rounds of 84 and 83 (167, +23).

The Flyers will have a few weeks off before their next competition Oct. 14-15 when they will head to Toledo for the Rocket Classic.
