DAYTON TELEVISION SCHEDULE RELEASED FOR 2014-15 SEASON

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's basketball team expects all regular season games to be televised nationally, regionally or locally.

The landmark package represents the most televised games in a regular season for the Flyers.

The schedule currently lists all broadcast partners with the exception of the Flyers away game at Miami University on Dec.3.  University officials are currently working with Miami and the Mid-American Conference to secure the broadcast.

Dayton's television schedule is highlighted by a school-record 21 contests on national television in 2014-15. Counting three games in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, Dayton will play eight games on the ESPN family of networks, seven on CBS Sports Network, four on NBC Sports Network and two on SNY.

The elite television appetite for Flyer basketball is no surprise. Last season, the Dayton television market was the eighth-best in the country when it comes to ESPN college basketball for the second straight year, according to research analyzed by ESPN. ESPN examined the 56 metered markets that carried college basketball games in 2013-14, and ranked them by ratings.

This was the 12th year ESPN compiled the data and Dayton has always been in the top 14 markets. The Dayton area has been in the top 10 four consecutive years and five of the last seven.

"Coming off an Elite Eight season, we're very excited about the exposure opportunities created for our men's basketball program," UD Vice-President and Director of Athletics Tim Wabler said. "The fact is that our television partners recognize that we are a valuable commodity. We not only bring our local market viewership like no one else in the country, we are gaining viewership nationally."

The combination of strong local, regional and national coverage is exciting for the Flyer Faithful.

Locally, UD will also continue its long-standing local television package with WHIO-TV, a partnership that dates back to the 1951-52 season. WHIO-TV is the No. 1 CBS affiliate in the country. Cox Media Group also produces the Flyer Men's Basketball radio broadcasts on WHIO Radio.

WHIO will air the home opener against Alabama A&M on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. The network will also carry home games against La Salle on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m., Richmond on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. and George Mason on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.

FOX Sports Ohio will broadcast the games against Illinois-Chicago on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m., Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. and Fordham on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.

Regionally, FOX Sports Ohio reaches over five million households in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, western Pennsylvania, western New York, and West Virginia.

The Flyers will also be shown on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel Tuesday, Dec. 9 as UD hosts Bowling Green and Saturday, Dec. 20 versus Boston University.

Time Warner Cable SportsChannel is a 24/7 sports network found across the state of Ohio on TWC channels 1311 HD and 311, whose content is also available on Local on Demand 411. TWC SportsChannel is also now available in the former Insight areas of Columbus, on channel 510, and Northern Kentucky, on channels 511 HD and 510. Through its partnerships with the Mid-American Conference, Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and the University of Dayton, TWC SportsChannel brings viewers more than 200 collegiate and scholastic events, along with other original programming.

The game at Fordham on Saturday, Jan. 10 will air on the Atlantic 10 Network and be picked up by a local television outlet at a later date.

Dayton is also working with its television partners on streaming opportunities for local games, and will be announced at a later date.

Dayton Men's Basketball finished 2013-14 ranked 18th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll. UD's 26 wins were the third-most in school history. The Flyers return the bulk of UD's "True Team" 11-man rotation for next year. That includes leading scorer Jordan Sibert (12.2 ppg) at guard and NCAA All-Region selection Dyshawn Pierre (11.2 ppg) at forward.
