University of Dayton senior punter
Kyle Pignatiello has been named co-Special Team Player of the Week for his performance in Dayton's 34-30 loss to Drake on Saturday.
Pignatiello averaged 41.8 yards a punt on five kicks. He had a season-long 64-yard punt in the second quarter. One of his punts was inside the opponent 20-yard-line, and he had no touchbacks.
A graduate of Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City, Ohio, Pignatiello is second in the PFL in punting average (39.6 yards per punt). In 162 career punts, he has only 10 touchbacks.
Dayton goes back on the road next week, traveling to Indianapolis, Ind. to play Butler on Saturday, Nov. 15 11 a.m. ET. The Flyers are back home for Senior Day on Nov. 22 against Campbell.
