The University of Dayton men's tennis team had a full weekend last week. Dayton fell 4-1 at Toledo on Friday, joined with the Flyer women's program to host its annual "Meet UD Day" at the Five Seasons Indoor facility on Saturday, and then was nipped by Eastern Illinois 4-3 at home on Sunday.

Approximately 30 children attended the "Meet UD" event, and participated in a mini-clinic on Saturday. Five Seasons is the indoor home for Flyer tennis, and it's both programs' way to say "thank-you" for the hospitality extended to them during the indoor season.

"We really appreciate how welcome we are made to feel at Five Seasons," UD coach Ryan Meyer said. "It's hard to say who had the most fun on Saturday – the kids or our team."

On Friday Toledo bested Dayton 4-1. UD's lone point came in No. 4 singles when Josh Malyon defeated Roberto Meza 6-2, 6-5. In No. 1 doubles, Aidan Koross and Bernardo Sanson won 6-2, but Toledo took the other two doubles matches and captured the double point.

Sunday's doubles point is where the Dayton-Eastern Illinois match hinged. EIU took all three doubles matches, but the No. 1 and No.3 competitions both were 6-5 scores. The two teams split the six singles results. Andrew Hanley won at No. 3 6-4, 6-5, Andy Druffel won 6-4, 6-5 at No. 5 and Kyle McDonald won No. 6 6-4, 6-3.
