Box Score This weekend the Dayton men's tennis team traveled to Muncie, IN for the Ball State Fall Invitational. The Flyers put a strong effort against tough competition, and freshman Zach Berry was the tournament victor.
 
Berry defeated four opponents to earn a stop in the championship game where he went head-to-head with Patrick Elliott from BSU. Berry beat Elliott 6-4, 6-3 early Sunday morning to win it all.
 
Dayton Head Coach Ryan Meyer was proud of Berry, as well as the whole Flyer team saying, "The guys played great all weekend. We were able to continue playing at a high level, and I'm very proud of our effort and results. For Zach to beat five very talented players to win the title says a lot about his game."
 
The next time the team will compete is in the ITA Regionals in Nashville, Tenn. from Thursday, Oct. 16 to Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014.
