Final ResultsOXFORD, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's track and field team earned 44 points to finish 7
th at the All-Ohio Championship meet on Saturday.
"We had another strong week of performances," said Head Coach
Jason Francis. "The women keep building on their performances each week. The team is in a good place right now and we need to continue on the path we are on."
Senior
Katy Garcia finished day two of competition in the heptathlon, taking ninth-place overall.
In the shot put, freshmen
Erin Reese and Jenni Rossi finished 10
th and 11
th respectively while fellow freshman
Sarah Sepanski took 18
th and senior
Miranda Nelson took 19
th.
Four Flyers ran in the 1500m event with junior
Olivia Albers leading the way in 10
th with a time of 4:44.47. Freshman
Kate Crawford went on to place 29
th and sophomore
Kathleen Keene placed 31
st.
In the 400m, senior
Maya Pedersen finished third in 56.77s to lead Dayton while sophomore
Maggie Pryslak finished 12
th and freshman
Claire Attea set a new personal best.
Senior
Isolde Hannan earned a ninth-place finish in the high jump.
In the 800m, senior
Chelsea VanHook and freshman
Grace McDonald both set personal records. VanHook's time of 2:15.17 was good enough for fourth while McDonald's time of 2:16.21 earned her ninth.

th and 16
th in the 5000m
In the pole vault, senior
Ashley DeMange had a great day on her way to winning the All-Ohio pole vault championship.
The discus throw was another strong event for the Flyers with a pair of personal records and a Top 5 all-time performance.
Erin Reese posted the fourth-best mark in school history with a throw of 45.04m, earning third place.
Aly Weeman set a PR as well with a throw of 41.92m on her way to a seventh place finish.
In the 400m hurdles, junior
Paige Yaeger recorded a time of 1:05.06 to take fifth overall.
The Flyers will serve double duty next weekend, sending student athletes to both the Mt. SAC Relays in California and the Gibson Invitational at Indiana State.
