TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - After the first 18 holes, the University of Dayton women's golf team is tied for 11th place at the Indiana State Spring Invitational. The Flyers turned in a team score of 330 (+42) in today's first round and Dayton is competing against 12 other teams. The two-day event is being held at the Country Club of Terre Haute and the course is being played at par 72 and 6,041 yards.
The host Sycamores are tied in first place with Bradley as both teams finished at 301 on the day. Indiana State's Marissa Uradomo leads all players with her even-par round of 72.
UD senior
Lucy Frey fired the squad's low round of 80 (+8) and currently sits tied for 28th place out of 81 competitors. Sophomore
Jenna DiPaolo is one stroke off Frey at nine-over-par 81 (t-35th) and freshman
Emma Meyer carded a round of 83 (+11) to sit in a tie for 47th overall. Junior
Mika Suntay scored an 86 (+14) and is tied for 65th place while junior
Amalia Emma turned in a score of 88 (+16) to rank tied for 73rd.
Senior
Mary-Katherine Slattery is playing as an individual and matched Suntay's 86 (+14, t-65th).
The Flyers will resume play at the Indiana State Spring Invitational tomorrow morning with 9 a.m. tee times.
