Final ResultsDAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's track and field team competed at the Louisville Cardinal Twilight on Friday.
"Today was a great day for those to end their season or career on a positive note," said Head Coach
Jason Francis. "For those who qualify for the NCAA First Round of Nationals, we will get a few good training sessions in leading into the national meet."
In the hammer throw, senior
Aly Weeman finished second overall with a throw of 56.03m
The shot put saw three Flyers finish back-to-back-to-back as freshman Jenni Rossi, freshman
Erin Reese, and senior
Miranda Nelson finish seventh, eighth, and ninth respectively.
Freshman
Sarah Sepanski placed fourth in the javelin throw with a distance of 32.73m.
Junior
Jordan Hoffman recorded the fourth-best time in school history in the 100m hurdles during the preliminary heats, which qualified her for the finals and set a new PR. In the finals, Hoffman finished fifth with a time of 14.61, just shy of another career best.
In the 3000m steeplechase, junior
Olivia Albers finished second overall with a time of 11:12.23.
Freshman
Nicole Steinbicker set a new personal record in the 1500m event with a time of 4:58. 22, which was good enough for 13
th. Fellow newcomer
Kate Crawford was right behind her in 14
th place.
The 800m event saw senior
Chelsea VanHook place seventh out of 21 competitors with a time of 2:15.96.

Ashley DeMange and freshman
Leah Frischmann took fourth and fifth respectively in the pole vault with marks of 3.71m.
Junior
Paige Yaeger had a strong showing in the 400m hurdles, earning a fourth-place finish and posting a time of 1:03.59.
Senior
Isolde Hannan wrapped-up the field events in the high jump with a personal best height of 1.55m and an eighth-place finish.
In the final running event of the day, the 200m dash, senior
Maya Pedersen's time of 24.47 put her in second place.
Dayton women's track and field will now have student athletes try to qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary meet in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 28-30.
