DAYTON, Ohio – For the second consecutive year, every home Dayton Flyers fall sporting event will be live video streamed for free via the Atlantic 10 Network.
All audio and video streams for all fall sports will be free. Fans unable to attend Flyer games in person can catch all the action at no cost online for sports providing broadcasts.
Thanks to a continued partnership with the Atlantic 10 Conference and NeuLion, Flyer fans can follow the action all season long for free on their desktop or mobile devices. The university will stream more than 30 events from volleyball, football, men's soccer and women's soccer.
"All of us in sports share a desire to distribute our games and tell our stories as widely and broadly as possible," said
Michael LaPlaca, Assistant Athletics Director. "NeuLion and the Atlantic 10 have been terrific partners. We could not have established the deep foundation we have in digital content without the expertise of their talented people."
Viewers can access the broadcasts through each team's sport schedule pages on DaytonFlyers.com. Fans will be also able to watch almost every Flyer home fall event from their mobile device through the free Atlantic 10 app.
The Atlantic 10 mobile app provides users the opportunity to watch Flyer events on smartphones and tablets in a simple, interactive interface. Also included on the app are the latest news, scores, schedules, standings, photo galleries, as well as select on-demand video and other live video and audio streams. Fans can download the app on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
"We have enjoyed working with Dayton through our partnership with the Atlantic 10," said Brent Carothers, NeuLion Account Manager for the A-10 partnership. "We are excited to enter into our third year as the official streaming partner of the A-10 Network. The expanded product will offer Flyers' fans a high-quality video experience to catch live game action, on-demand highlights, and more through desktop, smart phone, and tablet devices."
Over the previous seven years, DaytonFlyers.com has expanded its free live video stream broadcasts to include more than 400 free events over eight sports.
"Streaming live events free to users gives our brand and sport programs a fantastic way to set us apart," LaPlaca said. "The benefits of NeuLion's first-class technology and ease-of-use at no cost to fans enhances the viewing experience and allows our sport programs an unbelievable amount of exposure. Through this unique collaboration, parents, coaches and fans will never miss a game."
Any live games streamed on DaytonFlyers.com that are selected by local or regional television partners are subject to blackout.
The first live video-streamed event will take place Thursday, Aug. 27 when Dayton women's soccer hosts Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. ET.
