DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton rowing program is accepting new student-athletes for the 2015-16 season. Those who are strong, determined and athletic individuals and like to train and compete a high level, are especially encouraged to try out for the team. Â
Before trying out for the rowing team, students must complete paperwork. A doctor will need to complete and sign the Physical Exam Page 1 and Page 2. Â The remainder of the paperwork includes your insurance information and waivers. In addition, prospective rowers need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.Â
Â
Prospective rowers are encouraged to attend one of the open houses in the UD Erg Room (Frericks 33) located behind the volleyball court. At the open house prospective rowers can meet the current team. Â Coaches and current rowers will answer your questions and talk about program. Â
Â
If unable to attend one of the open houses, please check in with Novice Coach
Emilie Gross via email
rowing@udayton.edu or stop by the rowing offices.
Â
After paperwork is complete, rowers can attend practices where they will learn fundamentals on the rowing machines and then proceed to the water.
