KENT, Ohio –  The University of Dayton men's team competed at the Kent State Indoor Track and Field Tune-Up Saturday.

"Â All in all, this was a good start to the season and we had pretty good performances for this being our first meet," said Head Coach Jason Ordway. "Everyone went out a bit fast in the 5k in 4:40-4:45 and then hung on for their lives.Â
"We had a pretty good day in the mile," he added. "In the 3000, Jordan (Koczenasz) was our top finisher with a pretty solid time for a freshmen, going sub 9. Tyler (Adgalanis) was close behind in 9:03. Everyone is ready and anxious to race again so the season is off to a good start!"
TOP 5 ALL-TIME PERFORMANCES
•  Freshman Chris Negri ran the third-fastest time at UD for the 800-meter run in 2:00.23 He also ran the second-fastest time at UD in the mile with a time of 4:29.58
•  Freshman Jordan Koczenasz ran the third-best time at Dayton in the 3000-meter run in 8:59.85.
•  Kyle Lach's 2:00.8 in the 800 meters in fourth all-time at UD.
•  Sophomore Michael George ran the 5000 meters in 15:19.19, good enough for fifth all-time at Dayton.
