MATT LISIEWSKI JOINS UD'S ATHLETICS DEVELOPMENT STAFF

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton named Matt Lisiewski an Assistant Director of Athletic Development.

Lisiewski comes to UD after five years with the George Washington men's basketball program serving as the Colonials Director of Basketball Operations.

"Dayton is a special place," Lisiewski said.  "I knew Dayton was highly regarded from afar, but when I came on campus and met up with the staff, I could not believe the quality of the people and commitment to success the department demonstrated. My family and I are excited and looking forward to being a part of that community."

Lisiewski will work closely within University Advancement as part of the Annual Giving team and Athletics Fundraising unit. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Champions & Scholars Fund and assist in the development and implementation of plans to increase community and alumni engagement.

Prior to his tenure at GW, Lisiewski spent five years at Maryland as Video Director for the men's basketball team under Hall of Fame coach Gary Williams. He also served two years as the Graduate Manager/Video Coordinator at SMU in Dallas, worked as a production assistant at Fox Sports in Los Angeles and served an internship at CNN-Sports Illustrated in Atlanta, Ga.

Lisiewski has twice served as a support staff member for USA Basketball - in New York City before the team's departure for the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey, and in Washington, D.C., before the team's departure for the 2012 London Olympics.

A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Lisiewski received his bachelor's degree in telecommunications from the University of Florida in 2002.
