ANAHEIM – ESPN Events has released the 2016 DIRECTV Wooden Legacy bracket with the University of Dayton Flyers facing the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the first round on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 24.

The Flyers will play in the evening session on both of the first two days in the tournament.

UD and Nebraska are paired in the evening bracket with UCLA and Portland. In the other bracket, the first-round matchups are Texas A&M versus Cal State Northridge and New Mexico against Virginia Tech.

The first round (Nov. 24) and semifinal (Nov. 25) games will tip-off at Titan Gym, located in Cal State Fullerton's campus. The championship game will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Nov. 27.

All 12 games of the 2016 DIRECTV Wooden Legacy will be televised on the ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3).

ABOUT DAYTON
UD returns four starters -- Charles Cooke, Kyle Davis, Kendall Pollard and Scoochie Smith -- and nine letterwinners in 2016-17. Cooke was First Team All-Atlantic 10 and led the Flyers in scoring (15.6 ppg). Davis, Pollard and Smith are on pace to become the winningest four-year class in UD history.

Dayton travels incredibly well to exempt tournaments. Last year at the AdvoCare Invitational, Flyer fans helped set a full tournament attendance record. In six sessions, a total of 24,842 fans attended, for an average of 4,140. The previous record was set in 2008 with 24,267 for an average of 4,045.
