DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's golf team is in fourth place after day one of the Youngstown State Kickoff with a score of 310 (+30). The team is only two strokes behind third-place Indiana State. Emily Connors and Emma Meyer lead the Flyers tied for eighth with day-one scores of 76 (+6).

"The team was solid today with four scores in 70s, meeting our team's goal," said Head Coach Sally Kosters. "Emily Connors and Emma Meyer seemed confident and comfortable shooting low, and even with their strong play, I know they would say they left shots out there. That is a great way to start the season! All four freshmen looked very promising, especially Makenzie George and Alexa Amato who were both in the 70s. The entire team is fired up and rightly so."
