DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will compete against a loaded field at the 2017 NCAA Pre-National meet on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Louisville, Ky.

The meet will take place at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park with the seeded race starting at 10 a.m. and the unseeded race beginning at 11:30 a.m. Both races are 8K. This is the site of the 2017 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.

Dayton has won three of its four meets this season and coming off an All-Ohio Championship title on Sept. 29. The Flyers have had a bevy of personal bests, career performances, and quality team results this campaign as UD marches towards defending its Atlantic 10 title.

The Pre-National meet will see the Flyers face their strongest competition of the season with numerous regionally ranked teams and the top two teams in the nation in Northern Arizona and BYU.

Dayton enters the meet as the No. 8 team in the Great Lakes region, the highest ever ranking for the Flyers.
