LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The University of Dayton women's golf team completed two rounds against Northern Illinois and Fort Wayne during the first round and quarterfinals of the Bowling Green MAC Match Play Challenge.
 
Round 1: Northern Illinois 5, Dayton 0
1. Salberg (NIU) defeated Danielson (UD) 4&2
2. Samudio (NIU) defeated George (UD) 5&5
3. Anderson (NIU) defeated Meyer (UD) 5&4
4. Gautier (NIU) defeated Connors (UD) 5&3

Quarterfinals: Fort Wayne 3, Dayton 2
1. Richner (IPFW) defeated Danielson (UD) 7&6
2. Kurosky (IPFW) defeated George (UD) 4&3
3. Meyer (UD) defeated Bird (IPFW) 3&2
4. Connors (UD) defeated Dorner (IPFW) 4&2
5. Chesnutt (IPFW) defeated DiPaolo (UD) 2UP

Coach's Quote
"We played really well against NIU in our morning round, but they were throwing darts so we went down to a really good team," said Head Coach Sally Kosters. "The second round against IPFW was a tough loss. It went down to our last player on the 18th hole. Unfortunately for us, they sank a 50-foot eagle putt to win."
