ERIN REESE BREAKS UD SCHOOL RECORD IN DISCUS AT UC

Flyers Have 16 PRs at UC's Nikoloff Invitational

CINCINNATI – The University of Dayton women's track and field team took second place at the University of Cincinnati's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.
 
Highlights
•    Redshirt sophomore Erin Reese set the UD school record in the discus with a mark of 50.87m and took first place. Reese also took second place in the hammer throw.
•    Fellow thrower Jenni Rossi accumulated 20 points with a second-place finish in the discus and third-place finishes in the hammer throw and shot put.
•    Sophomore Taylor Vernot (4:34.26) and junior Grace McDonald (4:37.12) went 1-2 in the 1500m run.
•    Emily Borchers won the 3000m Steeplechase in a PR time of 11:34.34.
•    The Flyers had 16 PRs at the two-day invitational.
