Box Score LAKE NONA, Fla. - The University of Dayton men's tennis team cruised to an opening round sweep over La Salle on Thursday morning, defeating the Explorers 4-0 at the USTA National Training Center.

MATCH NOTES
•    Dayton jumped ahead early with the doubles point, with the senior duo of Andy Druffel and Graham Reinbold winning 6-0 at No. 3
•    The junior pairing of Zach Berry and Carsten Fisher won handedly at No. 1, 6-3.
•    Junior Simon Jayaram set the tone in singles, quickly dispatching his opponent at No. 4, 6-0, 6-0.
•    Berry also made easy work in his win at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0.
•    The match clincher came from Carsten Fisher, who won 6-1, 6-1.
•    The Flyers were also leading at No. 1, 5 and 6 when the match was stopped.
