DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team will close out its regular season slate at home this weekend and is set to host La Salle on Friday. First serve between the Flyers and Explorers is set for 7 p.m. at Frericks Center and admission is free.

In its lone match of the week, Dayton (19-7, 10-2 A-10) picked up a 3-1 win at Saint Louis last Friday, completing the season sweep of the Billikens. As a team, the Flyers lead the conference with 13.98 kills/set (23rd NCAA), a .276 hitting percentage (13th NCAA) and 12.87 assists/set and rank second with 2.23 blocks/set. Scouting La Salle
La Salle (17-9, 9-3 A-10) enters the weekend enjoying a six-match winning streak and the Explorers are one game behind the Flyers in the Atlantic 10 standings in third place. Reigning A-10 Player of the Week Kathryn Wood leads the league with 11.10 assists/set while Devin Corah is the team's leading attacker with 3.94 kills/set (3rd A-10). As a squad, La Salle is second in the A-10 with 13.54 kills/set and a .222 hitting percentage.
Series Stuff
La Salle and Dayton have met 40 times over the series between the two programs. The Flyers have never lost to the Explorers and hold the 40-0 advantage. In fact, the last time La Salle won a set against Dayton was in a 3-1 win for UD on Oct. 7, 2006 in Dayton.

In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) for games played through Nov. 4, Dayton currently ranks 37th according to NCAA.com. La Salle comes in at 162nd.
