DAYTON – After starting the season 2-0-0 and winning the Fairfield Inn by Marriott JMU Invitational, the Dayton women's soccer team landed on the United Soccer Coaches' Week One East Regional Poll, released Wednesday after the opening week of play. The Flyers were voted No. 6 in the poll.
UD went 2-0-0 to open the season with a pair of thrilling matches at the JMU Invitational last week, defeating host James Madison, 2-1, followed by an overtime victory against William & Mary, 2-1. Freshman
Izzy Greene earned Rookie of the Week honors for her game-winning goal against JMU. Freshman

Morgan Henderson also each scored their first collegiate goals in the tournament. Henderson's was the golden goal in the 96th minute against the Tribe. Senior

The Flyers host Louisville (2-0-0) this Thursday, Aug. 23 at Baujan Field at 7 p.m. The Cardinals are ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll.
