DAYTON – The University of Dayton Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting a talent show/book and school supplies drive this Wednesday, Sept. 12. The drive will be held at the ArtStreet Amphitheater. 
The event is open to the public. Admission is a donation of a book (suitable for children 1st-5th grade), school supplies, and/or money to benefit the students at Blairwood Elementary School. 

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for pizza and hot dogs. The talent show, featuring UD's student athletes, will begin at 8 p.m. Food is included in admission. 

There are 11 UD teams that will perform various talents including dancing or lip syncing.

The following teams will have a performance: baseball, men's basketball, men's cross country, football, men's golf, rowing, women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, softball, and women's track and field.

Rudy, VP/Director of Athletics Neil Sullivan, academic coordinator Vera Gomes, and strength and conditioning coach Jared Phillips will serve as the judges.

Football player A.J. Foster and rower Erin Dwyer will be the emcees of the event.

"SAAC would like to thank ArtStreet for providing us with the venue, UD Facilities for donating the fencing, Ashley's Pastry for donating delicious baked goods for our winners, and for UD Concessions for donating hotdogs!" said SAAC president Dani Ruffolo. "We are so excited for  this event, and thank everyone for supporting your fellow Flyers and our book drive for Blairwood Elementary School."
