DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (4-4-2 overall, 0-1-1 Atlantic 10) continues conference action at home this Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. vs. VCU (7-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 A-10) and Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. vs. Saint Joseph's (6-3-2, 1-1-0 A-10). Both matches are at Baujan Field and admission is free. 
 •  The matches will be broadcast on ESPN+. Alex Mikos and Ian Richardson will have the call on the VCU match. Flyer TV will call the SJU match. 

VCU PROMOTIONS
• The hazing prevention committee is hosting a BBQ which will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. in the parking lot by Baujan Field.
• The Flyers are inviting their favorite professors to the match.
• The Pride of Dayton marching band will march to the match and play during the match.

THE SERIES vs. VCU
• Dayton is 3-2-3 all-time vs. VCU. 
• The last time these two teams met was Sept. 21, 2017 in Richmond, Va. and the result was a 0-0 tie after double overtime. Kaelyn Johns had 10 saves in that match. 
• Dayton is 1-1-2 vs. the Rams when playing them at Baujan. 
• The last Flyer win was on Nov. 7, 2014 when UD won 3-0 in the A-10 semifinals at Baujan Field. The Flyers went on to win the championship that year with a 2-1 victory over La Salle in the final.

THE SERIES vs. SJU
• Dayton is 16-3-1 all-time vs. Saint Joseph's.
• The last meeting was a 4-2 Flyer loss on the road to the Hawks on Oct. 8, 2017. 
• The Flyers defeated the Hawks 7-0 to claim the 2016 A-10 Championship hosted at Rhode Island. 
• Dayton is 8-1-0 all-time vs. SJU when playing the Hawks at Baujan Field. 

FLYER QUICK HITS
• The Flyers are 3-1-1 on the road this season, and 1-3-1 in home matches. Two of the home losses came against teams that have been nationally-ranked his season: Louisville was ranked as high as No. 24 and Butler was ranked as high as No. 22. Both of those setbacks were 1-0 losses on own goals. 
• Seven different Flyers have scored goals this season: led by junior Micayla Livingston with four, freshman Izzy Greene with two, and one each for seniors Keagin Collie and Nadia Pestell, sophomores Morgan Henderson and Kara Camarco, and freshman Hannah Osland.
•  Junior Micayla Livingston is UD's top returning scorer after notching seven goals and five assists last year.
•  Senior goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns has started 71 matches in her career and has 304 career saves. Her 16.5 career shutouts are fourth all-time at UD. 
• UD has 11 freshmen on its roster this season. 
• Head coach Eric Golz is in his second season at the helm of the Flyers. He previously served as an assistant at UD in 2011. 

SCOUTING VCU
• VCU is 7-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the A-10. The Rams are currently ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll. 
•  Sophomore Samantha Jerabek is tied as the lead goal-scorer in the A-10 conference with seven finishes. She was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week after her performances against St. Bonaventure and George Mason. 
•  Redshirt senior goalkeeper Audrey Sanderson has a .87 GAA and 
•  VCU s 3-1-0 at home and 4-1-0 on the road this season. 
•  The Rams have two common opponents with the Flyers this season: William & Mary - Dayton defeated the Tribe 2-1 in overtime and VCU won 1-0, and George Mason - Dayton lost to the Patriots 2-1 and VCU defeated Mason 3-1. 

SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
 • Saint Joseph's is 6-3-2 overall and 1-1-0 in the A-10. Their lone A-10 loss was a 2-0 setback at Saint Louis, but the Hawks defeated A-10 defending champion La Salle 2-1. The Hawks are currently ranked No. 5  in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll. 
 • Hannah Racis and Aleksa Peev lead the Hawks in goals scored with three each. 
•  Paige Bergman leads SJU with three assists. 
•  Grace Bendon has 39 saves and a 1.05 GAA. 

JOHNS ONE OF TOP IN THE NATION
•  UD senior goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns is ranked 10th in the nation in career saves (305) among current active goalkeepers.
•  Johns is ranked fifth in the nation in career minutes played (6,410).

BELIEVIN' IN BAUJAN 
• The Flyers are 225-69-22 all-time in games played n their home field, Baujan Field. In the last six years, Dayton is 69-17-7 at home. 

HOME SWEET HOME
•    Dayton has 10 home matches on its home Baujan Field this season. 
•    Baujan Field will be the site of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship semifinals on Nov. 2 and the final on Nov. 4. 

CINCINNATI CONNECTIONS
•  10 Flyers are from the Cincinnati area: senior Sara Robertson, juniors Hanna Merritt, Caroline Mink, Madeleine Morrissey, Alex Powell, sophomores Olivia Brown and Megan Rack, and freshmen Sam Hausser, Lexy Kidd, and Mimi Stines.

DAYTON'S A-10 BACKGROUND 
• Dayton has won the A-10 Tournament Championship more than any other team in the conference: 10 times (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016). 
• UD has also won or shared 11 Atlantic 10 Regular Season titles (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013). The next closest is Massachusetts with five. 
• Dayton has appeared in 21 A-10 tournaments, earning a berth every year the Flyers have been a member of the conference. 

#UDWSOC - NCAA REGULARS 
• The Flyers have made 10 NCAA Tournament appearances in program history: 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2016. UD advanced to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. The Flyers lost 3-2 to No. 24 Ohio State in the NCAA First Round in Columbus in 2016.
