Women's Soccer Match Moved to 4 p.m. Due to Weather

The Flyers Play The Rams At 4 p.m. ET In Richmond, Va.

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (6-6-3, 4-1-2 A-10) is on a four-match unbeaten streak in Atlantic 10 play and currently third in the conference standings; the streak includes a 1-0 road win at St. Bonaventure, a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Davidson on the Flyers' senior day, a 1-1 tie at UMass, and a 2-1 overtime win over Duquesne Thursday. 

• Due to inclement weather, the Flyers will play at VCU (7-6-2 overall, 1-5-1 A-10) this Sunday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. ET in Richmond, Va. (The match was originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. start).
• The match will be streamed on ESPN+ 

THE SERIES
• The Flyers are 2-3-4 all-time vs. the Rams.
• Dayton has not beaten VCU since 2014, a 3-0 win in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted at UD. The Flyers went on to win the A-10 title.  
• UD is 1-0-1 when playing true road games at VCU. 

FLYER FACTS
•  The Flyers went 2-5-1 overall in the non-conference portion of their 2019 schedule. 
•  Dayton is 5-2-1 at Baujan Field this season, and 1-4-2 on the road, picking up its first road win of the season with a 1-0 win at St. Bonaventure. 
•  The Flyers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 15 to close out non-conference play. 
•  UD opened Atlantic 10 play with a 2-0 shutout over George Mason at Baujan on Sept. 22. The Flyers followed that with a 0-0 tie vs. Rhode Island at home. The three-match shutout streak was ended by a 4-1 loss at Saint Louis. 
•  Four of UD's six losses have been by one goal (Illinois 3-2, DePaul 1-0, Bowling Green 2-1 in double overtime - with just six seconds left in the match, and Indiana State 1-0). 
• Dayton's leading scorers are two freshmen: Alexis Goins with six goals and three assists (15 points) and Laney Huber with three goals and five assists (11 points). Landy Mertz is fourth on the team with two goals and two assists (six points).
• Huber leads the Flyers in assists with five. Goins, senior Micayla Livingston, and freshman Yaiza Navarro Leon have three assists each. 
• Nine different Flyers have scored goals this season: Goins (6), Huber and senior Jordan Pauley (3), Mertz and senior Caroline Mink (2), and freshmen Jessica Sheldon and Audrey Steiert, sophomore Izzy Greene, and senior Micayla Livingston (1). 
• Five different Flyers have scored game-winning goals with senior Caroline Mink leading the way with two (vs. Miami and vs. Duquesne). Jessica Sheldon (vs. Davidson), Alexis Goins (vs. St. Bonaventure), Micayla Livingston (vs. George Mason) and Laney Huber (vs. Eastern Michigan) have one each. 
• Redshirt sophomore Carly Becker has started 13 matches in goal for Dayton. She has 34 saves and a 1.52 GAA with five shutouts. Senior Emily Jones earned her first collegiate start vs. UMass. She had seven saves in the match. She also earned the start vs. Duquesne. She is 2-0-1 in goal for Dayton. 

SCOUTING VCU
• VCU is 7-6-2 overall and 1-5-1 in A-10 play this season. They are 3-3-1 in home matches. 
• Three Rams have double-digits in points: Samantha Jerabek (5 goals, 3 assists for 13 points), Emma Kershner (4 goals, 5 assists for 13 points) and Susanna Friedrichs (5 goals for 10 points). 
• Haakma Brecht (9 games played with 21 saves and a 1.11 GAA) and Grace Young (12 games played with 20 saves and a 1.53 GAA) split time in goal for the Rams.
