Pinehurst, N.C. – It was a tough day for the Flyers on the golf course. The greens on this iconic course caused havoc for the team as a whole. Overall, the teams struggles did not leave them in a bad spot going into Day 2. The team currently has a score of 332 (+44). That is only 11 strokes back from UN Asheville, who currently sits in first place. The Flyers are hoping a strong Day 2 will put them back in the mix at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
The 54-hole event is being held at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The team is playing on the Pinehurst No. 8 course. This course is considered one of the crown jewels of courses in the United States and will play host to the U.S. Championship in 2024.

COACH COMMENTS
"Playing for the first time in Pinehurst, the team is experiencing golf at its finest as well as the toughest greens most of us have ever encountered. We were playing tee to green very well but struggled with reading the breaks and dealing with grain which we don't have up north. Being here at this iconic spot is a real treat for the team and they are pumped to knock off a few strokes tomorrow."
