DAYTON – An additional regular season match has been added to the University of Dayton women's soccer schedule. The Flyers will now play Northern Kentucky tomorrow, Feb. 17 at Wall2Wall Indoor Soccer in Mason, Ohio at 1 p.m. ET. Northern Kentucky Athletics is unable to accommodate any fans at the match.There will not be a live video stream.
The Norse were scheduled to play Milwaukee in a Horizon League match tomorrow but that was canceled due to travel-related concerns for the Panthers.
The Flyers are 1-0 this season with a 2-0 win over Bellarmine in UD's home opener on Feb. 6. Freshman
Diana Benigno scored the game-winning goal and also had an assist against the Knights in her first collegiate match. Fellow freshman
Madison Wilson also scored a goal in her first collegiate appearance.
The Norse are also 1-0, earning a road 1-0 double overtime victory over Robert Morris. Freshman Sofia Wilmes scored the golden goal in the 104th minute for NKU. Former Flyer Mimi Stines earned the win in goal with five saves in the shutout. NKU was 9-9 overall last year and 5-4 in the Horizon League.
This is the first-ever meeting between the Norse and the Flyers in women's soccer.
