DAYTON – The University of Dayton track and field squad was back in action today at the Cedarville University Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open.

Highlights

• Three Flyers won individual titles:
  • Sophomore Casey Bogues broke the school record in javelin with her throw of 49.20m to win the event.
  • Senior Corey Rinella won the long jump and recorded the third-best mark in UD history.
  • Senior Taylor Flight won the discus with a mark of 47.64m. She also took second place in the hammer throw with a PR of 50.68m and shot put with a mark of 14.09m.
• In addition to Bogues and Rinella setting Top Five marks, junior Taylor Robertson placed third in long jump with a jump of 5.48m which is fourth all-time at UD.
• There were 34 personal bests set by the Flyers.
