NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 has announced its weekly awards and for the first time freshman Erik Eliasson has been named Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week.
 
It marks his first career conference award and the third for the Flyers this season. Sophomore Connor Bruce has been named Performer of the Week twice in 2021 and it marks the first time since Bruce did it five times last season that anyone has been named Rookie of the Week.
 
Eliasson went 2-1 overall against Cedarville and Bellarmine. He paired with sophomore Oliver Dunne to take his lone doubles match of the week, knocking off the Cedarville pair in No. 3 doubles 6-2.
 
The freshman followed that up with a straight-set victory over Cole Moss of the Yellow Jackets in No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1.
