OXFORD, Ohio – The University of Dayton track and field team had its final tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships today. The Flyers competed at the 2021 RedHawk Invitational, hosted by Miami University at the George L. Rider Track in rainy conditions.

Highlights

• Sophomore Casey Bogues won the javelin throw with a mark of 47.05m, winning the event every time she has competed this year.
• Graduate student Lainey Studebaker won the 1500m race in a PR time of 4:31.05.
• Taylor Flight took second place in discus with a mark of 46.39m.
• The Flyer 4x100 relay team of Malana Johnson, Rayana Burns, Jahmia Bridges-Butler, and Gabbie Johnson took bronze with a time of 48.85.

The Flyers will compete at the 2021 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 1-2 in Fairfax, Va. The Championships, being hosted at George Mason Stadium, will be closed to all spectators.
