DAYTON - University of Dayton football senior
Jake Chisholm and volleyball junior
Amelia Moore have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Nov. 7-13.
Hailing from Union, Kentucky, Chisholm earns his fourth Student-Athlete of the Week honor this fall after running for a season-best 205 yards with two touchdowns in UD's 49-27 win over Morehead State. Chisholm surpassed the 3,000 career rushing mark in the game. It was also his 14th game of 100 yards rushing or more, tying Dave Jones and Connor Kacsor for the most at UD. Chisholm was named PFL Player of the Week Monday, his seventh career PFL weekly award.
A native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Moore helped lead the Flyers to back-to-back 3-0 wins over Rhode Island on the final weekend of the regular season. On Friday, she collected three blocks and two digs to go with six kills and two service aces. She followed that with four blocks and three digs along with a team-high nine kills while swinging at .500. For the weekend, she averaged 3.75 points/set, 1.17 blocks/set and 2.50 kills/set. This is her second Student-Athlete of the Week award this season.
Each week we will recognize Dayton student-athletes throughout the end of the school year.
