KENT, OHIO – The University of Dayton women's track and field team rounded out competition in the Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday, one of the Flyers' most complete team showings of the indoor season.
 
"The team had another great showing this weekend after the previous meet cancellation due to the weather," commented head coach Jason Ordway. "We had a slew of individual champions, personal bests, and season bests in addition to several top marks in school history. Each event group is performing at a high level and improving week after week. It feels like momentum is building at the perfect time for us. We have one more meet to finish our adjustments before we head to conference at George Mason and we're excited to watch it all play out."
 
DAY 1 RECAP
 
To start off day two of competition, sophomore Abby Carter won the 1 mile race outright, posting a season-best time of 5:03.59. Angela Braga also won her heat in the 1 mile race, finishing with a season best time of 5:24.71. In the 60m finals, Chante' Clinkscale took first place, posting a 7.47 time, while Kaira Granger took third place with a 7.63, her second-best time in the event this year. Emily Sreenan closed things out for the Flyers in the 3000m race, winning the race outright with a time of 10:02.26, a season-best mark for the junior from Lima, Ohio. Sophomore Zoe Chappelle also had a strong showing in the event, placing 8^th with a time of 10:27.08.
 
The Flyers will compete in their final regular season meet beginning next Friday, Feb. 18, as they travel to the University of Findlay for the Flag City Open.
