DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team will head to Charleston, S.C. for a pair of A-10 matches over the weekend. The Flyers will play Massachusetts on Friday at 1 p.m. and Davidson on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Both matches will be played at Charleston Tennis Center.

The Flyers will look to get a few matches playing outdoors in advance of the Atlantic 10 Championship, which is played at USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. UD enters the match 7-6 this season after taking down Saint Francis back on Sunday, March 6. This will also mark a four-match stretch against conference opponents.

Erica Wojcikiewicz enters the match with 21 career singles victories, which is tied with Alex Townsend for the 25
th most in program history. Her seven wins this season are the fourth-most on the team playing between No. 1 and 2 singles. Junior

Laura Greb are tied for first on Dayton with nine wins in 2021-22, with Greb owning a three-match winning streak. She and Wojcikiewicz have also won five straight doubles matches, and one more win from Wojcikiewicz would put her into the top 25 in program history in doubles wins as well.

UMass is 7-3 this season after beating Bryant 4-1 last weekend. The Minutewomen are led by Renata Farima, who has played at No. 1 singles for most of the season and owns a 7-1 singles record. Farima is 5-1 at the top singles flight and is tied with Danielle Hack for the team lead in wins. Mariya Krasakova and Vitoria Okuyama have paired for a perfect 5-0 record in doubles play between the top two doubles flights.

Davidson enters the weekend at 8-2, but will play College of Charleston Thursday and UMass on Saturday before finishing the weekend with a match against the Flyers. The Wildcats are on a seven-match winning streak after taking down Gardner-Webb 4-3 on March 6. Kavya Patel leads Davidson with nine wins in singles play, while Josie Schaffer has played all 10 matches at the top singles flight, picking up four wins in 2022. Mira Gladstone has led Davidson during doubles play, pacing the team with six doubles victories.
