TIFFIN, Ohio – The University of Dayton track & field team wrapped up their impressive performance at the Tiffin University Invitational on Saturday in Tiffin, Ohio.

Highlights

• Freshman Jailee Clemmons finished in 1st place and earned a PR in the long jump with her 5.38m mark.
• Newcomers Raegan Ernst and Evelyn Albers finished in 3rd and 5th place respectively in the 60m hurdles, with Albers setting a PR at 9.97 seconds.
• Grace Homan placed 2nd in shot put with her 14.19m throw. 
• Lianna Shakoor and Julia DiLoreto finished in 2nd and 6th place respectively in the 400m race. Shakoor's 1:01.99 finish is also a PR for the newcomer.
• Ellie Tighe finished in 2nd place in the 3000m race with a time of 10:35.86.
• The Flyers set 12 PRs on Saturday with eight of them coming from the throwers.

Here is what Associate Head Coach Kevin Gilhuly had to say about the Flyers' performance on Saturday.

"We are very proud of our student-athletes that competed this weekend. We had a lot of impressive PRs and are seeing technical improvements in event groups across the board. We had a great time watching the weight throw event and seeing five out of the six athletes hit new personal bests. We had an impressive mark in the long jump as well – Jailee Clemmons hit a new personal best with Associate Head Coach Aaron Gordon still making improvements every week in her technique. We are excited to see all elements come together as the season progresses. We are looking forward to next weekend in Akron."
