DAYTON – The No. 3-seeded University of Dayton women's soccer team hosts No. 6-seed Saint Joseph's Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. for an Atlantic 10 quarterfinal match at Baujan Field.

INTO THE TOP 30
• The Flyers moved up to No. 25 in the latest College Soccer News Top 30 this week, three spots ahead of its previous high ranking of 28.

STIFLING DEFENSE
• Dayton finished Atlantic 10 play with eight total shutouts and allowing just two goals.

• Starting keeper Batoul Reda highlighted the defensive effort, leading the Atlantic 10 in goals against average (.535), save percentage (.898) and shutouts per game (.529). The Dearborn, Mich. native's save percentage currently ranks fifth nationally.

• The combination of the backline defenders (Alicia Donley, Mackenzie Lutz, Ella Raimondi and Kyra Karfonta), as well as the defensive midfielders (Marlee Taylor and Yaiza Navarro Leon) stymied offenses all season.

CLIMBING THE RANKS
• Fifth-year senior Mackenzie Lutz is climbing the Flyers' all-time leaderboard for minutes played by a field player, now sitting in second in program history.

• The Slyvania, Ohio native has logged 7,625 minutes in her career, becoming just the sixth Flyer field player to surpass the 7,000 minute mark. She passed Kathleen Beljan (7,535) Emily Kenyon (7,556) in the final game of the regular season at Rhode Island.

• Kelsey Miller (2008-11) holds the program record for minutes played by a field player at 8,159.

TAYLOR'S BIG WEEK
• Fifth-year Marlee Taylor had a big week for the Flyers Oct. 12-15, scoring a goal and registering an assist in both wins in her role as a box-to-box midfielder.

• The Plymouth, Mich. native earned a spot on both the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week and the College Soccer News Team of the Week thanks to her performance.

• In addition, Taylor was named No. 99 on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason National Top 100.

HUBER LEADS THE WAY
Fifth-year Laney Huber stepped up as the Flyers' leading scorer in 2023, finding the back of the net seven times to lead the team in goals. The Loveland, Ohio native also tallied an assist, giving her a team-leading 15 points.

SERIES HISTORY VS. SAINT JOSEPH'S
• Dayton holds a commanding 18-3-1 record over Saint Joseph's in the series's 28-year history. The Flyers and Hawks have played one another in the Atlantic 10 Tournament four times, with UD winning all four.

• The most recent tournament match was the 2016 A-10 Championship, in which Dayton won by a record 7-0 final.
• UD and Saint Joseph's did not play one another during the 2023 regular season, having last played Sept. 30, 2021.

• The Flyers won that matchup in Philadelphia, 3-2, thanks to a goal from Laney Huber, a pair of assists from Marlee Taylor and an assist from Diana Benigno.

• Saint Joseph's has not been to the Gem City for a match since the 2018 season, which UD won 1-0.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Laney Huber leads the offense with seven goals and a team-best 15 points on the season.

• Keeper Batoul Reda has been the best in the Atlantic 10 this season, leading the league in save percentage and goals per game while recording nine shutouts.
